| A: It depends
on what kind of email address you've got.
If you have a web-based email account (like Hotmail,
Yahoo or MSN), you can carry on sending and receiving emails as usual. However,
if your email account is with an ISP other then BT and you decide to cancel
your contract with them, it may well affect your email with that ISP.
You may be able to pick up your email, but unable
to send from that account, or you may have no access to the account at all.
You should contact your ISP to find out whether
they allow access via
BT Broadband. If you're previous ISP won't let you use
BT Broadband to access your account, don't worry.
Once you've got a
BT Broadband connection, your broadband start page has got links to several
leading email providers, enabling you to set up a new account quickly and easily.
