| An engineer assisted installation involves an
engineer calling at your home or business premises to configure and install
your broadband equipment and to connect you to the broadband network.
Engineer assisted installations are generally optional and can add a
considerable cost to connecting to broadband. Most home users do not require
the assistance of an engineer (see Self
Install) although business users usually prefer this option since it is
quicker from a business point of view and therefore cheaper. Businesses will
also usually require additional cabling work to connect multiple computers
and so the sensible option is to go for an engineer assisted installation.
For most users, an engineer assisted installation is not required. |
