Telephone Extensions
|
|
Can I Use a Normal Telephone
Extension Cable?
|
| Yes. If you need to add a telephone
extension cable in order to connect your computer to your telephone socket,
then normal extension cable is perfectly adequate. Since
ADSL broadband uses the
normal telephone network, a standard, self-install, telephone extension
cable is fine. |
|
How long can the extension
be?
|
| There is no upper limit to the length of
extension you can plug in to your BT telephone socket. The standard sizes,
3m, 5m, 10m, 15m and 30m telephone extension cables available should be
fine, and will certainly be sufficient for most users. |
|
| Business users who opt for an
engineer assisted installation,
should have any additional cabling work carried out by the engineer. |
